Step into Autumn with new nails!

Autumn is here once again, and although i don't really want to say au revoir to summer, i know i can no longer flip flop around i need to look towards the chilly future and embrace it! I'm looking forward to all the little things that come with fall, the crispness in the air, layering wooly jumpers and swapping the bright summer clothes and makeup for a moodier color palette. One of the best ways to accent this new fall look, is with a fresh manicure.  SO, my first step into autumn is a change of the nails! Here are my top picks for perfect Autumn nails!

Models Own - Nude Beige £4.99CND Shellac - CocoaEssie - Urban Jungle £7.99

I normally like to keep my nails very dark in the fall, but I’m all about nudes right now—specifically, nudes that are muddled by a tinge of gray. Essies 'Urban Jungle'  is the perfect combination of a greyish nude its very chic and goes with every outfit! CND is the main nail lacquer I use since I was introduced to it a few years ago, because the colours are always on point and it’s virtually unchippable with amazing staying power. I suspect that my autumn beauty staple will be between Essie Urban jungle  and the brand’s cocoa shade.

Nails inc - Hampstead Heath £11 CND Shellac - Baroness, Nails inc - Broadwick Street £11 CND Shellac - Masquerade
For fall I love a clean neutral or a rich, deep red color.  To me, the darker hue is a classic twist on the traditional red and lends the perfect hint of sexiness to my otherwise understated beauty look, the perfect red  for this fall to me would be Nails inc hampstead heath, I've added their broad wick street too f you like a little shimmer to your red.

OPI - How great is your dane? £11.95CND - FedoraCND Shellac - RubbleLancĂ´me- Chocolate MordorĂ© £12.50

Could brown become the new black?  I love browns its a twist on the normal nude but not as deep as black, keep it super glossy with a top coat or gel version such as shellac!

Nails inc - Dover St Market £11MUA - Leapfrog £1

A bit of colour... Whether you go for a candy-color version  or a deep plum like this Nails Inc Dover st Market, give purple a go! It’s an elegant update for fall which i love. I find that teal is simply one of those colors that works year-round, this little gem is very similar in look to that of essie but is a fraction of the price at just £1! Now I've not pictured it but i really want a good navy blue for this fall! Its not quite as edgy as a black,  but blue looks just as sophisticated and i think its a perfect match on square-meets-oval nail shapes.

So what do you think of this Fall nail colour choices!? Do you have any Navy blue suggestions for me?

8 MUST-HAVE AUTUMN FASHION TRENDS

Now that fashion month has finally come to a close, it gives a little time to reflect on the trends that will be fashion fabulous next season. This post is a little different for me, by no means do i think I'm a fashoinista, yet just a mere lover of it all, who has been swept up in all the glamorous runway shows and styles this past month has supplied! I've put together a few styles i thought were worth while if you want to make sure that you are prepared this season!

Robe/ blanket coats
So Pre fall we had the ultra cosey 'Blanket coat trend' fuelled by hot celebs such as Rosie Huntington whitely pulling a cheeky buburry blanket off better than any of us could! Now it seems the must have coat for Autumn winter is the robe coat, which seems just as coset as well as being as easy to wear as it is to take on and off! Personally i think they look a little like my granddads dressing gown but hey if it keeps me all warm and snug whats not to love really!?

(Above: Cara Delevingne, Rosie Huntington- Whiteley and Olivia Palermo wear Burberry's AW14 poncho)

Swinging 60's
The '60s are back in a major way. So grab those shift dresses, black tights, knee-high boots and get grooving! You can never go wrong with a 60's look its always making its way into trends year after year, my favourite item this season would be the smock dress jazz it up with a bit of colour or a funky pattern to stay true to the 60s!

The Giant turtle neck
As someone who is always cold, I am pretty thrilled to see the development of the turtleneck into something that more closely resembles a sock for your whole head- honestly it really does look like that! So yes the turtleneck has been weaning its way back into fashion for a little while now, but for the upcoming fall season it's bigger than ever! You might think I'm crazy but i kind of love these huge turtle necks... i mean with a turtleneck that big, who needs a scarf anyway!?

FUR (FAUX)
Lets face it fur is inevitable when it comes to A/W trends! Fur tends to now be an investment piece, so if you’re going to jump on this trend, please go faux and finish off your look with a bold accent (and a clear conscious of course). Heres a link to Glamour magazines top picks for Faux Fur coats to help you out!

 The Mod Boot

I can't remember a time when a black ankle boot has not been in my fall outfit rotation. Last year i didn't go a day with out strutting around in my beloved H&M chelsea boots! But this year, you will see a lot of the mod boot. This boot is not quite a boot but more like a high heel. These little numbers are extremely cute! If you're looking for the perfect pair for your wardrobe, look for a pair that has a contrast panel, high shine, or quirky shade.

Leather Skirt

For this seasons perfect Autumn essential, look no further than a 70's inspired leather skirt. Remember those short, '80s rocker leather minis, that not so long ago were all the rage well they were cool but are on there way out! Now its all about leather skirts getting a little longer, a little more boho, and coming in richer, matte materials like suede. which i am very excited about as i prefer longer skirts and love the texture of suede!

My all time autumn winter wardrobe faves

Tartan
Nothing is going to start off this season better than tartan. This pattern will be everywhere as it always is each and every winter. I love an oversized flannel tartan shirt to wear on those lazy days where its so cold out side all you do sit lounge around in your big tartan shirt with hot chocolate and movies! - winter perfection!

Leopard Print
Im a sucker for this print i wear it all year round in some shape or form. I just don't know what it is with Leopard print that always draws me back, i can never decide if its sexy or tacky but its still a love of mine either way! I think a leopard print shirt tucked into a midi leather/ suede skirt could actually be a fab look if styled correctly!

So thats my take on the many fashion trends of this upcoming season i hope you liked a slightly different post from me, if so i shall do more!

Colour Revive - OSMO

As you all know I'm a big fan of Osmo hair products so when they brought out their Colour revive treatment i could hardly say no to giving it a go! They say it gives your hair the 'kiss of life' reviving your hair colour between salon visits! I bought warm chestnut although it is available in seven different shades so there will be one to suit your personal hair colour.

The  treatment is infused with Avocado Oil and vitamins A and E, which helps to nourish and condition hair, intensifying colour and instantly restoring vibrancy. Not only does it revive your colour but it also cares for your hair by being Ammonia and Peroxide free! - Win win!  Frequent use ensures hair stays stronger for longer, i recommend using it twice a week for best results.

The product is available in 7 different shades, even purple! So its great for any colour hair, i think this treatment would be really great for people with brightly coloured hair red/pink/purple etc. Preventing the need to have a total re dye every few weeks this will brighten your hair and give it a boost rather than affecting it with dye/ bleach all the time!

Have you tried this out, let me know what you think!?

Benefit Majorette Booster Blush

Benefit Majorette Booster Blush £23.50

Benefit Majorette Booster Blush is a new cream to powder blush that was launched at the start of the month I've been using it for a few days since its release to give you a good overview of that its like! So let's face it Benefit already know how to do a good blushes, they have a range of best selling box of powder blushes/ bronzers under their belt (my favourites being HOOLA and Dandelion). When i found out about  their new launch i had no doubt that Benefit were going to do something great with their new Majorette Blush!

This little beauty enhances your own cheek colour to a warm peachy-pink shade giving your cheeks a lovely, natural-looking flush or healthy glow. It glides over the skin really well, and doesn't set too quickly allowing time to blend before setting into place. I applied it by swirling my finger around the blush (whilst avoiding messing up the pretty pattern) and then proceeded to pat and blend on to my cheekbones, It’s very easy to work with. And if you don't like sing your fingers a brush will work well with this also.

Housed in a circle plastic compact it flips open to reveal a mirror and a domed blush with a simple sunburst design. The blush is protected by a plastic lid (not photographed - i forgot to put it back on oops!) which easily removes when you’re ready to use it. The formula is creamy but not tacky, sticky, or thick in texture , instead It has a very soft almost powdery feel! It also has quite a good staying power to it which is great to keep me looking peachy all day ;) last but not least the smell...it smells lovely with a sweet scent of Peach and pomegranate deliciousness but without being over the top!

It is quite pricey at £23.50 but I think it will last and last and it does have lovely results. I doth feel like Majorette is a must have for your beauty bags but its a must try for sure it has a wonderful effect on the skin and i am now using it instead of my blush!

OH! aaaand if you want to get your hands on a FREE They're real push up eyeliner all you have to do is find a boots store near you that has a Benefit counter, take in your old eyeliner (could be any brand, liquid or pencil) and swap it for a mini version of Benefits new They're Real eyeliner! This offer is only on for another week so get down to your local boots with those unwanted eyeliners!

Have you tried the Majorette yet? Do you think its worth it? - Let me know your thoughts!
